I'm Subramanya Sastry, a passionate Bansuri flautist from India, now based in Australia. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing at numerous concerts across India and globally, including in Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, and Australia. Along the way, I’ve been honored with several awards, including the prestigious Best Instrumentalist award from India’s Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
My music journey spans various genres— karnatic, flamenco, jazz, classical, folk, and more—allowing me to explore the rich diversity of sound. I am particularly fascinated by the power of traditional 'Indian Raagas' and their potential benefits on health. In fact, I was recently awarded a grant from the City of Monash to further explore this passion.
In addition to performing, I also teach the Bansuri flute, sharing my knowledge with those eager to learn and appreciate this beautiful instrument. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, I offer personalised flute lessons tailored to your needs.
